The Stiva extension is now on Firefox, in beta
The Stiva extension now has a Firefox version. It's a beta, and you can add it from Firefox Add-ons.
What it does
The same thing as the Chrome one. Press Save on any article and it lands in your Stiva library, ready to read offline or to listen to. There's no Stiva account and no server in between.
If you're offline when you save, the article waits in a queue inside the browser and is sent again every few minutes until it goes through.
Why it's a beta
Firefox handles extensions a little differently from Chrome, so this version needed its own work, and it hasn't had the same mileage yet. It should do the job, but you may run into the odd glitch, a page that won't extract or a sign-in that needs a second try.
Tell me when something breaks
If you use Firefox, I'd like to hear how it goes, especially the pages where it doesn't work. Use the feedback link in the Stiva app and include the address of the page, and I'll look into it. When the rough edges are gone, the beta label goes away too.
More on how it works, and what the extension can access, is on the extensions page.
